The EX3 is a mid-size, lightweight, versitle 'quasi-broadcast' quality camera that records on solid state SXS cards at 35Mbs. Niche can offer two 'hard to come by' lenses for the EX3 - the Fujinon Standard S20x6.4BERM (2x extender) and the Canon YH12x4.8KRS wide-angle. Take the standard Sony 14x lens instead if you prefer, we have that too. The EX3 delivers a very good native HD picture, for the price. We do not recommend the EX3 for SD deliverable projects (the picture quality deteriorates during SD down-conversion). If you require something more upmarket, want to shoot HD, but deliver in SD, we recommend the Sony PDW700 as more cabable and suitable.

PLEASE NOTE; The EX3 native record mode of 35Mbs, does not meet the international HD minimum recording standard of 50Mbs. Off-board recording via the NanoFlash may be required.
